Barbados Crop Over 2020 goes virtual

Since people from across the world can’t come to Barbados Crop Over 2020, the sweetest summer festival is going to the people.

COVID-19 has crippled the global economy, and with the pandemic showing no immediate sign of slowing down adapting to the present climate is important.

To ensure we fight this pandemic and promote health and safety from all Barbadians and the many people who cross our beautiful shores cancelling physical activities for the Sweetest Summer Festival, Crop Over was inevitable.

This doesn’t mean the party stops there, since the world cannot come to experience Crop Over we’re taking the Crop Over experience to the world.

It’s not quite the same, but we’re promise you an exciting, high quality, interactive, virtual Crop Over.

Through the use of traditional media, your favorite online platforms and our exciting new television network we have found a way for you and everyone around the world to celebrate with us.

Barbadians at home, abroad or by choice will participate in the 4 weeks of virtual television and online celebration.

You will still get to attend some of the best events, to see, hear and dance to some of your favorite calypsonians, musicians, DJs and so much more.

You can enjoy comedy, dance and other forms of theatre, learn about the historical and cultural value of the festival and even participate in exciting competitions and other fun activities.

The reality is Crop Over is not just about the fetes at your favorite venues, dancing to your favorite artist, jumping and parading in costumes on the streets, Crop Over is about you, the people, whether you’re here in Barbados or around the world,

So come, join us, celebrate wherever you are because Crop Over is you.
