The word Koute means to listen in creole. As this is language is indigenous to St. Lucia, it made sense to pay homage to their roots as St. Lucians. Incorporating creole and English on this beat speaks to people who know both languages. Edge and Oscar are happy about the song and believe it has an international appeal.
