This year I have chosen not to neglect our legacy and heritage, by choosing “J’ ouvert Barrios” sang by the Roaring Lion.

Roaring Lion (Hubert Charles) Rafael Arias Cairi Llama de Leon (1908-1999) was born in the Caura Mountains, Brasso Caparo – North East Trinidad in 1908. Lion won a total of 7 Road Marches with 5 consecutive wins as follows:

Ø Nora Nora -1938
